Welcome to Pleasley Colliery (know locally as the Pleasley Pit). A remarkable historic site in Derbyshire, East midlands. It offers a captivating glimpse into our mining heritage. With over 150 years of history. It has become a cherished destination for those interested in the rich legacy of coal mining. As a Scheduled Ancient Monument, these victorian pit buildings have been lovingly developed and maintained by the Land Trust and Pleasley Pit Trust.  A dedicated charity with a team of passionate volunteers.
